PTS PRESIDENTS: SAFEGUARDING SCIENTIFIC EXPERTISE AND TECHNICAL CREDIBILITY

PTs Presidents play a key role in the scientific and technical governance of BIPEA’s proficiency testing programmes. Their mission is to ensure the technical relevance and scientific quality of the programmes by providing expert analytical insight within their respective fields.

In this role, they:

• Review and approve interlaboratory comparison reports, providing comments and recommendations where necessary to support the interpretation of results;
• Provide technical expertise to assist BIPEA in addressing complex questions raised by its members;
• Co-chair Commission meetings alongside BIPEA’s Scientific and Technical Officers, fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing among stakeholders across the sector;
• Validate meeting minutes and annual reports, ensuring the consistency and relevance of the technical decisions and strategic orientations adopted.

As scientific reference points, the Chairs help maintain the highest standards of technical excellence while ensuring that BIPEA’s proficiency testing programmes continue to meet the needs of laboratories and keep pace with analytical, scientific, and regulatory developments.
