Bipea General Assembly December 14, 2011: Bipea Ordinary General Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 14 December 2011 on the premises of Eurosites in Paris La Défense. This event will begin with the introduction of the accounting and financial activity report and the report of the auditors. After that, a presentation dealing with the ISO 17043 accreditation process conducted by Bipea will be introduced. Bipea at Eurachem Symposium: Bipea represented by Eric ZIEGLER (scientific and technical adviser), participated in the interventions during the seventh symposium "Proficiency Tests in analytical chemistry, microbiology and medical laboratories: current practice and future directions" that held in Istanbul from 3 to 6 October 2011. The event gathered representatives of organizers of proficiency tests and organisms of accreditation in order to discuss on various topics related to quality, chemistry, microbiology, or statistical criteria required to process data. Representatives from 51 different countries were present at this workshop. A training session on the topic of uncertainty measurement and metrological traceability was also conducted by Marina Patriarca (ISS, Italy) and Michael Koch (AQS Baden-Württemberg, Germany).
